Jack "Shellac" Garrison, a record collector at heart, found Lindy in 2016 when he started DJ’ing for the Swing Dance Club at IU, months before he knew a single step. Jack uses original 78 rpm records of the 1920s-50s to build soundscapes for dancers that truly take them back in time. A native Hoosier, Jack Shellac brings the "Home" to "Back Home Again in Indiana!"

Jack will be DJ’ing the first half of both our Friday and Saturday late night dances at Latin Expressions!

Maurice is a DJ and Instructor from the Twin Cities in Minnesota. They have been dancing Lindy Hop, Blues and other Vernacular Jazz dances since 2017. Maurice has a goofy, yet clear, communication style and unique voice that they love to share through DJ’ing, laughs, and care for the dances they are so gracious to teach. Maurice is excited to lay down some good tunes for the Indianapolis crowd.

Maurice will be DJ’ing on both Saturday and Sunday during the day, keeping the music and good vibes going through our breaks, as well as the first half of our Sunday afternoon farewell dance!

Sam Zorich is thrilled to be part of the DJ team at Back Home Again! She began dancing in college, but fell in love with swing era and later jazz music in middle school when she started playing saxophone. Since then, she has DJ’ed at her home in Chicago and at regional lindy hop (and balboa!) events around the Midwest. While she's not much of a musician anymore, she loves to highlight the saxophone while playing music that makes people get on the floor and stay there!

Sam will be our DJ for the Saturday night main dance during band breaks and including our friendly competition. She’ll also DJ for the facilitated practice session on Saturday!

Naomi Carmeli-Shabtay began dancing lindy hop and blues in 2014, and got behind the DJ booth in 2018. Since then she has DJ’d at events around the Midwest from Milwaukee to St. Louis, and appears regularly at dances in Chicago. At live music events Naomi’s been known to say “I love this song!!” roughly every other song. It’s always true, and as a DJ she strives to elicit the same response from the dance floor. Naomi has a love for vocals, guitar, and pulling out an oddball song or two that you might just fall in love with.

Naomi will be DJ’ing into the wee hours of the morning the second half of both our Friday and Saturday late-night dances at Latin Expressions!

Alina will be DJ’ing our Friday evening mixer to welcome everyone to BHAII and band breaks that evening, as well as the second half of our Sunday afternoon farewell dance!
